Brazil Fazenda Passeio

Brazil Fazenda Passeio

Adolfo

Adolfo grows different varietals in different areas of his farm, Fazenda Passeio. He has a nursery where he experiments with varietals that he has picked up from all over the world. He is the proud father of two and a husband of one, and drives an old two-wheel drive Fiat Strada like Barry Crump in a Toyota Hilux. There are people driving on the streets of Strasberg in more capable vehicles for this mountainous terrain, but Adolfo spent all his money on his coffee processing equipment. On the farm he has: washers and pulpers, 4,000 m² of concrete terraces, rotary dryers with controlled temperature furnaces, wooden storage silos, and advanced coffee grading equipment. All this was especially designed for the processing and storage of coffee in parchment.

The Farm

Fazenda Passeio is located in prime specialty coffee country in the heart of Sul de Minas. The farm’s 130 hectares of plantations lie between 1,100 and 1,200 metres above sea level, in a mountainous area with excellent soil fertility and regular rains.

Drinking Notes

Savour a coffee that spins a tale of opulence and exotic charm. Starting with maraschino cherry, offering a vibrant, candied sweetness that sparkles on your tongue, the cherry is balanced by the subtlety of ciku, which layers in lush, creamy flavours of pear and caramel, deepening the complexity of the brew. The experience is rounded off with a nod to the classic French financier, whose buttery almond goodness envelopes your palate in a comforting, delicate finish.
